i have win 2000 and the lates vid driver for my ati when i load the game it freezez up and won't go into the game

go into the quake3 folder and delete the opengl32.dll file?

been a while since i worked with the demo...

ahh cool. no problem. just get back to us if it doesnt work.

if it doesnt check for all available windows updates and shit...also make sure you have updated dx9.

there are 2 folders one is (demoq3) and the other is (Extras) and in the 1st one demoq3 there are no opengl.dll and i have all the win updates and stuf and the dx ??? can you still help

at first gave a opengl one then i got the latest driver for win 2000 that had opengl and now starts to load and gest to a whit screan and stops resbonding

ok. go into teh demoq3 folder and find the q3config.cfg

find the line "r_fullscreen"

change the number at the end to 0

will run in a window...hopefully fix any problems with rendering modes maybe..

only reason i can ever remember for getting a solid white screen was punkbuster on the full version. but this doesnt have pb and isnt the full version...so, erm...hopefully running a window will give us some sort of idea.

what ati card is it? some older ones run better on older drivers.

this game will play on win 2000 right or do i have to do alot of twieking to get it if so i might find some other game we can play on our lan
do you have any good ideas what games like quake 3 1st person shooters that have net work play and lan play??

all the quakes...well pertty much any game...unreal tournament is nice and tends to run on slower hardware too

btw, windows 2000 plays q3 fine. i am on w2k right now.
