Yeah, that was a while ago.

See politicians (mainly Republicans) are smart. They do things so outright illegal that anybody who would even mention the word 'vote-rigging' is immediately labelled a conspiracist and shunned (by cable news networks).

It's been noted that the code was designed to re-write itself on the machine.

Which is perfectly plausible for rigging a 1-time event.
