Anybody played this yet? I don't want to get it, but I know that I probably will. So when that happens, should I play it and expect greatness?

When there are games like BF2 out there, I wouldn't expect much.

Battlefield 2 is not for console, meaning you dont have to spend hundreds plus the game just to run it
