Are Any Fear Factory fans...

..going to see them on their upcoming tour?
I'm seeing them on the 28th.
Awesome line up of support bands too.
(Strapping Young Lad, Darkane and It Dies Today (and at certain venues Soilwork))

Should be good :p

I was going to drive two hours to see them in Cleveland until soilfuck dropped off that tour date. I love Fear Factory but a two hour drive for one band (SYL is good but I dont really know their stuff) isn't worth it.

Thats a shame.
Have Soilwork dropped out of the whole tour or what?
It's only 10 minutes from where I am to the venue where I'm seeing them, although it's a kinda shitty (small-ish) venue, but the tickets are Cheap and I think sometimes it sounds better at a smaller venue too.
To be honest, I'm Looking forward to Strapping Young Lad almost as much as FF.

I'm a huge FF fan. They're playing in NYC soon, I think, but I'm not sure I'll be able to come down from school at the time. :icon33:

BTW, SYL are quite great, very similar to FF in style. Devin Townsend (the mainmain) is funniest guy alive, and has something like 10 side projects, some of which are actually better than SYL. But anywho...

SYL own, they're better than Soilwork.

ummm.... I found the "two hour drive for one band isn't worth it" comment to be rather strange. I mean, I two hour drive for a concert isn't that much IMO.

I am, however, right now thinking of the kind of performances bands like these give. Like the Korn concert I went to, they barely played for an hour (more like 50 minutes or so). I guess Fear Factory does that sort of thing as well then? To be honest, I find that quite outrageous to begin with.

But then again, I'm used to concerts that last for at least 2.5 hours

Well it all depends. A 50 minute set sounds about average for a rock band. They usually have about 3-4 bands play an hour each starting around 7pm.

No, that drive isn't that far but I spent the last year of my life driving an hour each way to work and I've grown to hate long trips. If I had a friend willing to go up with me I might consider it. Sucks they aren't going to Cinci, I've never been to a show there and would be more tempted to go.

lol, I was quite stumped to find out that when Korn left the stage, it actually wasn't for a half-time break for the 2nd part of the set :olo:

Me too, Actually there is a Beer Factory right by the venue. But I dont plan on getting wasted before hand this time. Last time I did that before a Gig I got kicked out of a Rammstein concert for ripping out the Seats and throwing them....

Korn are kinda notorious for Short-Changing the punters at gigs. It's kinda like they cant be bothered to make an effort, that combined with 'technical difficulties' can lead to a pretty disappointing show.
Any band that does that doesnt deserve the credit they get.
