Are SSRIs and ephedrine safe to combine?

Post by SplishSplash »

Or would this combination result in seizures, heart attacks and brain cancer?

SSRIs are pretty safe to take in combination with anything apart from other SSRIs.

Apparently ephedrine does something for women suffering SSRI-induced sexual dysfuntion, so it would appear they're okay. If there's a medical advice-line available where you are I'd ring it though.

ephedrine is an alpha1 and beta1 agonist. Which means your blood pressure and heart rate will increase. SSRI means selective serotonine reuptake inhibitor, you'll feel happier like when you would use XTC.

why would you want to combine these two drugs?

Ephedrine works pretty well as a 'study' drug. It keeps you awake and very focused on your books.

I hear ephedrine is relatively safe if not used in conjunction with intense physical activity.

I'm surprised it's still legal in Germany though, or perhaps it's just ephedra that's illegal at this point.

You can still buy the tea in pharmacies, but the clerks will give you dirty looks.

Anxiety and depression. I don't know really what caused it, but two weeks ago I started to go crazy. One night I couldn't stand it anymore and saw some emergency psychiatrist and he told me to see a psychotherapist. He gave this "citalopram" stuff and it made me feel better for two days. Today's the fourth day and I'm feeling pretty shitty again.
I'm supposed to double the dose in two days, but I don't really feel so sure about it.

It's crazy really. One moment, you think you're just some normal dude, and a couple days later you're about to lose it. I have no idea what caused it.

no

my neighbour is a 30something lady who fucks very loudly at night. She screams and moans like no other. It would be quite stupid to kill her, as she provides lots of entertainment.

Edit:
Although that's probably because she picks weird times to fuck. Like 5 in the morning.

Edit2:
It always makes for good stories though.

make an excuse to go see your doctor again and look at his pen this time. if it has the word 'citalopram' printed on it, stop taking the stuff.
