I live in Davis, CA where there are a shitload of bikers, half of which do not know how to bike at all so it's understandable that people are pissed at them. This makes cops see pretty much every biker as being in the wrong.
I approached a stopsign at ~5-10MPH and got there the same time as another car got there on my left. Since I was on the right, I had the right-of-way and proceeded. The way I stopped was very quick, in that I pulled up to the line and braked so my bike was stopped below me but I was still on the pedals and was getting ready to accelerate again. Seeing that it was my right to proceed, I proceeded to accelerate and so I was only stopped for a split-second. The cop claims I didnt stop and went through the stopsign at 7MPH, and that I also violated the right-of-way.
This fucking sucks, as the cop had an improper perception of what happened, and I'll have to miss work to argue the case, which is not worth my time to miss work over this. However, it's a $122 ticket, and its damn wrong for them to take this money from me based on a cop's misjudgement.
EDIT: BICYCLE...one of these:
