One of the last doubts of this film has been lifted. They really ARE demons of Hell...

Probably. Mostly because its really changed my mind. Started off crap, and now it doesn't look half bad.

Thing is Id games never had any good storylines, so making a movie with a lame/simple storyline based on a game is a good recipe for a shitty movie.

Having The Rock as the main character? I saw a clip of it on the Tonight Show and his acting is incredibly bad.

The only interesting aspect is too see the effects and see how the monsters look compared to the game.

Why does the fact that the monsters are from hell make the movie ok now? It's still a Doom movie ferchrisakes.

So if you feel compelled to see it just tape an episode of Judge Judy instead. It's better, trust me. Or maybe watch your grass grow. Take bets on the grass speed and length. You can even name the blades.

it's not even that. you could take a video game like doom and make a great film out of it, exactly because there isn't a lot to it. find people with talent and skill to make it and they could pretty much do what they wanted, just within the themes of the game. you could pick any sci-fi, horror or war story that you're fond of and make it into a doom movie. but people with mouse-testicles produce these things
