God I hate outsourcing. I gave Dell a call to see if there was any other way to get near this price - through my employee discount, or company or whatever. As soon as I mentioned that I wanted to get near the coupon price, I was transfered to the online sales - because the salesman said this coupon is still active and valid.

So after dealing with the first Indian guy, and actually having to read that ridiculous code to him over the phone, I had to go through it again with the online rep. Who eventually just told me there was nothing they could do, and I should keep trying to use it, because he was pretty sure 4000 people hadn't redeemed it yet. :icon27:

I thought about calling the regular sales line again, but my head hurts already from talking to someone 2000 miles away and can't understand a word I'm saying ("J" - you mean "J" as in "Girl," correct?), that I said fuck it.

If I ever try to order from Dell again, I'll either do it online, or go through the local rep for our business account here at work.

Too bad I can't get the stuff for the same price the office gets it.

FYI save your phone calls 4000 redemptions of the coupon were hit, there are no deals to be made on this monitor. They will however offer a better deal on the 1905FP if that's your second choice.

werd, I found a buyer for my1704fpv $290 and he even knows about the 20 and the 19" deal he just wants a matching monitor...

only problem with a 19 inch LCD is it's about comparable to a 17inch regular LCD in size only about 1.8 inches longer the angle
