Still any Dream Theater fans around?

Post by Eraser »

I saw them live in Amsterdam last night. They did two shows in Amsterdam, first on the 10th, which was an "ordinary" Dream Theater show, but yesterday they had the show cut into two parts, first being where they play DT songs and the second was where they would play a "classic album in it's entirety". It wasn't announced which one.

Turned out they were playing Dark Side of the Moon from Pink Floyd, which was absolutely fantastic. One of the best albums ever recorded in human history played by one of the most talented bands of today. It was incredible.

They're doing the same thing in London as well (with the two shows) on 24th and 25th of October. I reckon they would play Dark Side of the Moon there as well.

Yeah Octavarium. I like it. It's quite good, at some points even better than Train of Thought IMO, but it does lack the really lengthy instrumental parts.

They can really play but they could use a bit of restraint.

If you want a proper prog rock album, try "12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus" by Spirit. Progtastic.
