That's kind of silly. Also, I doubt every person above 18 has a credit card (I don't)
btw, I first didn't see what you were talking about since I opened the link in a new firefox tab, and then the link simply opens without any popups ever being shown
I'm not giving out details like that to see a game rated 70%
But you would for a game rated 93%?
:icon27:
I wouldn't do it for anything. I worry about giving info like that to secure sites like paypal ffs, and thats for PAYING for something.
Why would i enter it to see a tiny blurb of info on a game, which you can see anywhere? And why, when in the UK you can be younger than the age limit Q4 has, and still have the card?

dont wanna be annoying or anything dude, but you are on a US site
I think you misunderstood. The point being that credit card verification would probably only work for US credit cards, and not ones in many other countries.
Effectively making the offical Quake 4 information US-Only, which would be absurd for a game shipping internationally.

still, guess the site should be a bit cleverer in handling things like that - it's not their responsibility to do anything more than warn you about mature-rated products. guess they're just hoping enough people will be dumb enough to type in their cc number.
First off All credit card transactions are processed by a third party IE citibank in germany and as such all credit card numbers regardless of their starting origin begin with the same first few digits.
visa = 4** mastercard = 5**
Second of all if you clear your cache and cookies you will be transported to this screen
The site that you are currently browsing has been stored in your cache/cookies folder probably because you followed the link someone once gave you from here (most likely) to the US one. If you select the UK site, you dont get the credit card checker crap.....
