LAN party growing.

Post by YourGrandpa »

Our group is having it's monthly LAN party tonight. This one should be the biggest one ever. Since our merge with another local LAN group and the appearance of our ranked BF2 server, were getting a lot of new people interested. This party should have 30+ people, even though everyone isn't going to be able to make it. All of this is of course in culmintion to the annual LAN party and the reason for this post.

Our group will be planning an annual LAN party. This party will go 24 hours, have a dinner and breakfast and have sponsors that will supply prizes to be won at the LAN. To keep up to date, click on my sig.

How are you involved with this gramps? When you say 'our group' do you mean people from work or just friends in general? Just curious is all.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

You're right, the housewife of the group would be the one getting slapped the most, so I can see why you'd be reluctant.

Maybe you could go make cakes and pies for them while they're playing?

I am the founder of TcL. Two other guys and myself coordinate the monthly events. VL or Vero LAN is a annual event which was hosted by two other guys. Our groups have merged and this year both groups will be working together to host the annual LAN party.

We already have a venue picked out and are going to be working out the details soon. We hope to hold the party in one of the large conference halls at a local Holiday Inn and get them to give a group discount on rooms to the people who attend. We also have several potential local sponsors and have had good responses from companies like Muskin, NVidia, BFG and Antec. Last night we picked the date, March 11 and 12 2006 for the next VL and set several other things into motion that we help with advertising. Hopefully this party will grow to something thats noticed in the gaming community and is a positive experience for everyone who attends.

Spread the word.....and click the sig. :icon25:

You know what I just realized about lan party's even though I've never been to one. There's probably always some geek in there that doesn't bathe and reeks.

Yes, that's true.

The last Multiplay LAN I went to I found some massively obese sweaty guy one morning slumped over his computer, one hand on his mouse, the other hand on the last slice of pizza next to him, fast asleep while the CS game he was in played out on screen.

How attractive. Women must be drooling at these events.

In the sense that the few women there were butterface lardy spit-emitters, yes.

Our LAN parties draw a multitude of different types of people.

BTW, I never noticed anyone that didn't bathe.
