i think he means advent children....

anyway, if you use medai player classic, when you look under the subtitles section under the File MEnu, iot gives you the options for it to look for the subtitles in its database..

Come on, you guys haven't heard of Last Order? :icon3:

It's an anime feature that is a prequel to FF7. I believe that it's bundled with the Japanese release of AC. AFAIK, it focuses on Zack and his relationship with Cloud before the events of FF7.

I have the anime. So I just need the subtitles now...

On a side note, the AC OST absolutely rock :icon14:

Watched it last night, and I thought it rocked as much as AC did :icon14: It would've been really nice if they did this as CGI just like AC, but I guess anime will do :icon30: Some of it I remember were in FF7 as flashbacks, and it definitely cleared up a lot of things about Zack and how he and Cloud came to know each other. It goes to show just how great and true a friend Zack was.

Sadly, I heard that they have no plans to release Last Order outside of Japan...as usual :icon13:

Oh, and a big thank-you goes out to Fury again for the subtitles

Anime is a shallow, cheap form of art. It's the McDonalds of paintings, the Burger King amongst filmography. It's a sad thing that the youth of Western nations should admire these things, when we have Plato, Monet and Nietsche.

I'm not saying our culture is superior to theirs, but when they start talking honor, sacrifice and glory you must take heed and remember that we won the war against them because we didn't believe in those concepts.

I disagree. True, lots of anime blows (read: DBZ), but there are some good ones, like Cowboy Bebop. Especially compared to the trite you see on TV in America. Don't know what animated shows/anime is like in the UK, so I can't speak for them. What I like about anime is that a lot of the shows are geared for older audiences, and there's still a part of me that wants to watch cartoons. :icon32:

Never will an anime show shock us into social revolution like the writings of Karl Marx have done, or have the ability to depict the essence of horrible wars, like Picasso accomplished with Guernica.

No, the only thing anime does is to hold up a mirror of today's society- in all it's absurd facets - which granted, is somewhat culturally responsible. My opinion is that it stops right there though, instead of showing us more than that or having the guts to explore something that has been undebatable up to this point in time. There is no new factor, only repetition.

Hmm. Oh, i know:

Sun Tzu teaches us all warfare is based on deception, whilst the powerpuff girls teach us that secret ingredient X is the base of their awesome abilities. One could argue that this 'ingredient X' is actually a deception (why else would they refuse to name it by it's proper name?) which would mean the girls are not supernatural, but superskilled in the art of war.
