BBC1:

Using a technique that would be banned in the west, Huang takes cells from aborted foetuses and injects them into the brains and spines of patients with spinal injuries and disease.

The film follows Vic Washby and his family as they embark on a desperate journey to help Vic, who has motor neurone disease

I guess the critical question is does he walk again?
I'll try and watch.

Great, take the one bit of interesting science and bury it under a welter of other people's misery.

Jeez, I thought the BBC's license fee was dependant on making their program informative. That oiece of shit might as well have been presented by Trevor McDonald.

Did you watch it?

On the whole rather a let down. The bit with the rats was rather interesting, where he repaired his damaged foot and it was obvious he could climb up the cage again, but the rest was just a load of hippies making it come accross as some sort of magical herb.

People dont care about the science they want to see peoples emotions and how they over come it

Its why Trisha and shit is still on the telly, after all how many times do we want to see a fat woman cry.

I blame women for it, all of it, the whole "TV going to shit" thing. It wasnt until women got there evil paws on it that things started to go downhill........

just thinking about the people that produce much of modern british tv would make my ulcer flare up if i had one. bloody one-finger-typist media spastics. the scary part will be in a few more years, when each one is naturally promoted to their own level of maximum incompetence.
