Day of Defeat: Source now available...

Post by Psyche911 »

Just started up Steam for the first time in a couple days and there it was waiting for me to "decrypt" the files.

Anyone else played it yet?

Alright, so I tried it and it ran like ass. CS:S runs fine, but this was all jumpy. Also, I didn't know what the fucking idea is. It's like Onslaught in UT2K4/BF2 kinda thing? Capture points and all?

I stood near one but nothing happened.

I guess I'll try again next time I fire up Steam in a couple weeks.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Bought Silver before HL2 was out, never had played HL1. So I get DoD:S free. But AFAIK it sucks.

Day of Defeat came out well before the huge mass of WWII games started being churned out by the dozen. It's a remake with the source engine like CS:S is.

It's about the best looking WWII game, and the best sounding. Only 4 maps, but I'm having fun on all 4 of them. I'm sure more maps will follow soon.
