Having no glands, they don't. You're probably thinking of algorithms that would pass the Turing test. The comp.ai FAQ might be an interesting read for you.

if you are indeed interested in artificial emotions, a well known research group at MIT that focusses on it is

They also have a publications database which has electronic version of many of their papers and state-of-the-art surveys...

I don't see how glands are essential for emotion. In humans yes I think they play an important part in modulating emotional responses, but for an artificial intelligence why would you need glands?
