Divx6 (only codec)?

Anyone got a download of the divx6 codec only? I don't need the player/bundle/etc with the ads, I just want teh freaking codec...

a link to a non-adware version would be nice. i assume all new versions of DivX are backward compatible

or just use XviD

since everybody and their momma knows about xvid, I guess he was looking for divx 6 specifically. afaik there's no adfree encoder though. unless you want to be all 1337 and warez it.

nah, just decoder, was on my tablet PC and didn't have any codecs on it yet, and downloaded a divx6 art tutorial and can't find any decent decoder only downloads..

The Play Bundle comes with the player, but they give you the option not to install it (choose custom install and deselect it). If you choose not to install the player, it'll install only the encoder and the decoder. The Play Bundle is also adware-free I believe.

The last one I got was named "K-Lite Codec Pack". Did they just add the "Mega" when it went from 1.37 to 1.38, or is there something significantly different between the two?

No the mega was added a long time ago. It includes all the stuff from the k-lite codec pack and bundles the qtime and real alts.

The current version does not have divx 6 in it though.
