Far from it, was alot of fun..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

I've been hyper-bored with WW2 shooters ever since EA started cranking out hundreds of MoH:AA expansions.
The last two WW2 games I really enjoyed playing were RTCW (ET) and MoH:AA itself.
I really had to force myself to finish Call of Duty. It's all just the same thing recycled over and over again. I mean, the impact of shells on Normandy beach was fun in MoH, but the sixteen times I had to do it after that in other games started to get a bit boring.

Yeah, fuck WW2.
You know what i'd like to see? A Napoleonic era shooter, it'd be awesome. You'd have to wait ages for your rifle to reload - which i think could really add to the tension - and there'd be cavalry charges.

It would have squad based gameplay as well and you wouldn't have to move around because hey, in that time everyone would just stand around waiting for their turn to shoot. If you were in the front, you were simply fucked. Thrilling! Very easy controls. Would be perfect for a Nintendo game, but they would probably replace Napoleon with Pikachu.

I think a better term would be "specular is the new env map"MKJ wrote:specular's the new dynamic lightingo'dium wrote:Wow, its CoD1, with shiney skins enabled.
Its a great game liek the first, but damn, tone down the specular...
Its just over used in some things, yet in others its so subtle it just looks fantastic. Its almost as if in this game, they cut down on the memory requirements by making the diffuse map the specular map...? O_o
Dude, bayonet charges! It would totally rock!Eraser wrote: Yeah that would be awesome!

You could like, stab a Prussian fiend in the guts and say 'Voici, canard!' and he'd be all like 'Ach so, was jetzt?'- how cool would that be?
I have even thought of a name for this game: Napoleon Blownapart
