A1 GP First Round
Anyone watching or is it getting the apathy I expected it? I'm gonna give it a go to see if it holds my attention.

I watched some of it. I think the concept is great, but I just don't think it's gonna work out in the end, even with the backings of some big names. I don't think they'll threaten F1 anytime soon.
Right now, most of the drivers are no-names, and their skills/experiences aren't on the same level, so expect some pretty wild (but hopefully safe) racing with the field very spread out.
IMO, the car needs to have at least 700bhp to really compete with F1, but then again, considering the skill/experience level of the field, having that much power is probably not a good idea, especially with no driver aids.
I was also disappointed that they didn't go with the H-pattern manual gearbox. And the cars look butt-ugly, and I'm someone who normally don't care for aesthetics..
