Because there weren't any yanks around. Did you read the story?

It wasn't an explosion either, the top of the tank was set on fire by the locals.

Papers post stuff like thta all the time. The difference is they dont come down on it as being the soldier's fault for getting severely injured and essentially blame it on their stupidity in such a naive way...

Some people also have friends that have killed people in iraq, some people have had cousins that have lost sight because a mortar shell went off 20 feet in front of them, some people have fathers that spent 28 years in the military, some people have uncles that were in vietnam with horrific stories to tell, some people have fiances that they worry over being killed........
