The guy dressed up as Ram was the kind of man only Kracus would fuck.

Seriously, how well do you think this game is going to do?
Have you got any numbers on sales back yet?
I'm just curious if you have an honest, unbiased opinion that you're willing to share. Of course you want the game to do well, I think we all do. But being connected to the industry I would think that you'd have a really good feeling about whether or not it actually will.
i never worked at cry. i did get a betabuild of farcry long before actual mapdesign was going on though, posted my impressions about it here with lots of details (nothing more than what was already known, but in more laymans terms), and Ubi headquarters wasnt too pleased - they didnt know the poster named MKJ was actually the guy they gave the presentation to, and when 'they' (some temp who was filling in for our usual contact) foudn out he still claimed i was in the wrong.
it was resolved quickly via some mailings between me, ubi, gky and cry management.
end of the story; me and gky came out as heroes, while the temp got a lashing fro mcry

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

In all seriousness I have no idea how the game will do when "the big push" is over (usually after the first two weeks).
Currently we are the #1 selling game for PS2, the #2 selling game for X-Box and overall we are #7 in total sales for last week (The Sims are crushing everyone).
All developers have good feelings about their games and nearly all of them want their game to do well. The reality is that the market is a fickle bitch and even some really great games never do well commercially. Here today...gone this afternoon.

Everytime someone bashes my game baby Jesus cries.
[edit] Ok...I re-read what you typed and I had it in the wrong context.
Yes...there are certain things I cannot say in terms of it possibly impacting my job (I bashed a guy on this site a few years ago who complained to Crytek that I was a "bad person on the internet" and I was reprimanded for it cause I had "Crytek" listed as my employer in my profile) but for the most part talking about how your game will do isn't gonna be poo-pooed (unless that person is slamming the shit out of their own game but that's what FatBabies.com is for).
If I thought the game really sucked and I was truely embarrassed by it I wouldn't mention the game here...or even to my family. To avoid that embarrassment I'd instead tell them I wash dishes at some slimey whorehouse.
