I installed quicktime...

and now all my mpgs etc are opening embedded in a page.

How do i stop this?

This is firefox's fault for not recognising Quicktime Alternative

My computer - tools - file types. Or fire up quicktime and set the MIME settings correctly.

Open WMP or whatever media player you wish to use and have it play all mpgs. Quicktime should have an option to select and deselect which filetypes are to be handled by it.

Right, I just removed all trace of Quntime and they're still being embedded by media player now

FFS, could Quicktime be shitter? Fuck apple, if I get an mp3 player now, it's going to be Creative

Installing Media Player 10 again has fixed it.
