Interview with Valve:

The game will ship over Steam this year, most likely in November, and will have an incredibly reasonable purchase price of $12.95.

I read somewhere that there will be 4 episodes per year, and at the end of the year, those episodes will be bundled together and sold as a retail expansion.

Great, so we save $2 in taxes by buying it over Steam. :olo:

That's for future Half Life games. Not aftermath.

Yeah, seems like Aftermath is just a test of the concept.

Wow Half Life is moving faster than I am catching up.
First Half Life, and I loved every second of it, except where you have to get in to water. Then Half Life 2 (sort of a bit boring when you are on the streets trying to get trought the barriers (reminds me of the alien levels of the original HL) now we have Aftermath, or something else I have been hearing about. Then allso there is this talk of the episodes. Then thereis this wholesteam thing, and I DO NOT GET STEAM...

And then there is the Lost Coast.

So what is the order (that they should be played in, story wize) of these new HL2 games?

Lost Coast is just a demo level and doesn't tie in into the story line.

Yes is does. It was a planned chapter but was cut along with the headcrab factory. Read raising the bar.

No, it was revolutionary at its time.
Great storyline. (it keeps you asking questions)
It had amazing gaming moments, one of my most memorable ones is geting shot at by marines while I was crawling trought air ducts. You couls actualy see light comming in trought the wholes, and them talking about you.
The game had exilent AI, that actualy took cover, and threw granades at you. Called support.

Great sound engine, with echo in large areas.

Who can forget all the huge Turbines?
