AoE 3

Post by R00k »

I've been playing the demo for about a week now, and I like what I've seen so far -- even though I had to turn down the graphics settings to keep it from lagging.

The two maps that are included are really small, but other than that it's pretty fun to play. I'm stomping the computer all over the place, so I'm ready for the full version.

When is this joker being released? And who's going to play me when it comes out? :icon32:

All new rts's seem to have these small maps. I don't like it.

Well I'm thinking surely there will be some much larger maps that come with the full version. These are tiny, but they're also just 2-player maps.

micro-managing is fun to u? jesus...

Well I don't have slobbering fuck-trophies hanging on my apron all day, so I don't have an issue with it. :olo:

hm... i don't know... the economics seem to be really nice. but maybe this feeling comes from the small, focused maps.

i'm not sure if wc3 is better. wc3 is to much micro, i think. AoE3 might be to less though.
(heh... i just remember how much fun it is to outmicro some noob and bash him, using only your TC ^.^ ... or to block escaping heroes with your wolves...)

I was disappointed you could only take the home city to lvl 9 and that you could only play against one opponent at a time... suppose it left me wanting more though which is a good thing.

Great demo/game. Should be a very strong release.
