Preventing windows from trying to detect new USB hardware?
So I am using a Saitek gaming keyboard and a logitech MX 518 gaming mouse. The gaming keyboard is pretty much just a standard keyboard with an additional 9 button keypad (with 2 modes, for 18 actual mappable buttons). The installation software for this keyboard also, for some reason, detects every fucking USB mouse as a "saitek magic mouse" and tries to install drivers for it. These drivers seem to prevent the additional functions of the logitech mouse from working - no surprise there. Hardware manager would show to HID complaint mice - one being the saitek magic mouse and one being the mx518. I disabled and remove the driver and uninstall the saitek one, but every time I turn on the computer, i get the new hardware found wizard telling me that a saitek magic mouse is connected...i can cancel out of this, but is there any way to just STOP that from happening that anyone knows of?

I have a saitek keyboard too and an mx518. It's not really a gamers keyboard but the software names it as so anyway. Have you tried installing the setpoint drivers for the mouse? The mx518 is registerd as a logitech mouse in device manager for me.

That's an odd problem, it could be because the Saitek keyboard installs both keyboard and mouse drivers. Maybe you didn't fully remove the drivers, you can try installing the Saitek mouse drivers and then disabling it in device manager.
Other then that check the website for Saitek or Logitech, maybe they have a solution?

i have the setpoint drivers installed...they work fine if i go to the trouble of disabling and uninstalling the saitek magic mouse and then rebooting and cancelling the found new hardware bit.
like i said, the fucked up thing is that the device manager shows that both the magic mouse and the mx518 are there unless i do the disabling bit i just mentioned, and i don't get the full functionality of the mx518.

What I meant is, my keyboard dosen't have the extra keypad as yours does. Their software is universal however and it names every keyboard of theirs as a gamers keyboard. In any rate, you should try posting on that saitek forum. 
I just looked, and strangely enough I don't even have the magic mouse drivers in there. However I've always had a problem with my mice displaying an additional ps2 mouse. It this just by design? (Sort of like dual-support for ps2 and usb mice?) I've tried removing the 'extra' mouse once and it comes back on reboot anyway.

Seriously, i bought this board thinking itll be easy to set up buy binds and shit in CS and what not.. pfft wrong.. you have to push the keys AS you program them on the normal keyboard, so basicly, you get to sit there and try to get it to record you pressing b21b6b82b83b84b85 in less than a second.. yeah GG..
Anyways, the drivers and that gay keypad are causing it..
