There was nothing shocking about that. It's like the 50 used ibooks for sale in Virginia or wherever that was... fucking stampede.

I think he has a point. He's not hating everyone, but is pointing out that a few of them are ruining it for everyone else.

Yep, you're right glossy. These people were only standing around for a week without food or water unless they wanted to break in somewhere and get it for themselves.

Now somebody's handing out money, and they want to eat tonight? Don't they know that the government won't forget about them? God what a bunch of worthless n1ggers, I'm glad I make a lot of money and will never be a disaster victim! :olo:

You got to think that most of the people who stuck around there were waiting for someone to do something for them or give them something. I mean if everything I owned was 8 feet under water, there was no power, no food, no water and I couldn't do anything to preserve my home, I'd leave. Even if walking was my only option. I'd find another place to temporarilly set up residence and find another job. At least until I could get back into my home. Now I know that there are special cases of handicap people and other valid reasons for not being mobile enough to do this. But most of the people you are seeing in these disaster videos look like able bodied individuals. Shit, if you've got enough energy to riot after multiple days without food and water, you should be able to pack up and leave.

I wrote an essay quite a while ago about this regarding the 9/11. Just because someone dies or gets screwed in a nationally recognized event they think they are owed the world. You can often read or hear the 9/11 victims be praised as "heros"...... yeah right. They were just ordinary people in the wrong place at the wrong time. Does the family that had a family member who died in the WTT deserve anymore more support and money than John Doe's family when he, the source of income and head of the family got struck by lightning and died? I think not but I can live with this. However what gets me is those that do get this fortunate help in events like this are not thankful and complain they were not helped enough as if they're Kings and Queens. I remember on Oprah there was this whore complaining that the relief aid she got did not scale to her dead husbands 6 figure income he would have made through his life.... I would have payed money to reach into the tv and slap her. And what happens to the real heros, the ones fight and dying in Afganistan and Iraq? Depending on their life insurance their families will barely get anything.

There are a couple more scenarios.

Lets say you have a family, but work a low-pay job and have literally no savings. You don't own a car. One of your kids is 2 months old.

In that situation your options for 'setting up elsewhere' are pretty much nil. On top of that, taking off and walking would be OK for you, but probably not for your wife or young kids.

That's why I specified "other valid reasons".

I have a wife and 4 year old child and I wouldn't want them to spend anymore time than they had to in that situation. I'd find a wagon to pull, a bike to ride, something, anything to get my family out.

BTW, if you have nothing, why stay in a place where there is nothing? Unless of course you're waiting for someone to bring you something.
