Spot the hypocricy...

Post by Shmee »

I can't even really define the emotion I feel when I reflect that republicans were going crazy over "activist judges" "legislating from the bench" when it comes to gay marriage, and now that a state legislature has decided to send an honest to god bill legalizing it in California, Arnold says the courts should decide..

I describe this as the "we're losing the fight, reverse position immediately and pretend it never happened" policy. And it's not just the gay marriage issue - this hurricane fiasco has really served to illustrate just how incompetent and un-feeling these bastards in charge really are, and nobody of consequence seems to care at all. Pile on top of that the intelligence failures of 9-11 (too busy vacationing and siphoning off capital wealth), the Iraq "war" (too busy LYING TO OUR FACES AND RUNNING OFF WITH ALL THE FUCKING MONEY), and the upcoming nazification of the Supreme Court and you've got enough to justfy the bombing of federal buildings. That's right FBI - come get me. I could use a fuckin vacation...

I mean, is ANYBODY paying attention? Do they have to climb out of the TV and sling shit in your face before you realize that that's what they're peddling?

I swear to christ, it's beginning to make me physically ill just to watch or listen to even 5 minutes worth of news anymore. I'm really starting to understand why the majority in this country don't give a fuck and don't vote. About the only worthwhile endeavor as an American citizen at this point is to stock up on weapons and ammo, get good at the firing range, and wait for the terminal end-of-cheap-oil holocaust that should hit sometime in the next 10 to 20 years...

Whew....

I feel better.

police states are only necessary when you can't pull the wool over people's eyes. when you can, that's called democracy and freedom

So we're fine then.

I would rather live here and now in America, then say a post-World-War I Germany where the populas was unamimously suspicuous of all government activity and its motivations. Enviorments like that are only fodder for political upstarts such as the National Socialist party... The wool over the peoples eyes is perhaps the best thing we got going for ourselves.

Yeah as opposed to enviroments where people suspect nothing because they're too stupid to realize it's happening anyway?
