age of empires 3 demo soon

an Age of Empires 3 demo should be out this month. The 375mb demo will include 2 singleplayer scenarios as well as 2 random maps playable as one of two civilizations

Hell yea, can't wait to check it out.

Since I've kinda kept clear of the media on this one (I didn't think it was coming out for a while yet) - anybody have links to some gameplay clips? I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I'm running an XP3200+ with a gig and a Radeon 9600XT.

I imagine it's going to have solid coding and since it's Microsoft they will want to grab the widest audience possible. Yer specs should be fine.

Low End Testing: We are asked regularly what the minimum specifications will be for a Windows PC that can play Age of Empires 3. The short answer is we don't know right now. But there were discussions today about the collection of low end machines we keep around for testing. The lowest of the acceptable low is affectionately called Ol' Shitty. We had temporary lost track of which of our machines was the true Ol' Shitty. Some thought it was hanging out in the game designer's clubhouse, but test lead Tim Reussler felt he had the real one. Upon further checking, it was indeed sitting on Tim's desk. He will be testing the Single Player Campaign to make sure it works on this machine. Hopefully we will be able to share the specs for Ol’Shitty soon, but if you are reading this blog you are probably not really concerned with minimum specs.

Ah, gotcha. It is a little vague, but I can't imagine them shipping a demo of such a great RTS game without MP.

I dunno if AOE3 is going to be good, I play AOE2 every day at work, but AO3 just looks like its all graphics.
