Webcams with direct IP connection

Post by SplishSplash »

There's those automated webcams which have a built in server so all you have to do is install it and hook it up to your network.

Pretty nifty, the downside is that everyone else on the net can access them as well.

These google searches will find them for you:

Google webcam search #1

Google webcam search #2

Google webcam search #3

Google webcam search #4

Have fun and post if you find any interesting ones.

Thanks for reminding me about this googlehack... it's fun to check out random cams.

if you want to take it a step further you can try and reference the outdoor cameras with somewhere on Google earth.. really hard to do. If you can narrow it down to a local area then from weather you might be able to tie down a town. From there you might be able to locate the camera itself.

There are hundreds of camera locations in google earth, if you enable the keyhole community filter.

Yeah but those are the already documented and public ones. No fun in that :)
