The Premium price is laser accurate. It's fucking $3.79 a gallon. $1 increase in a single day, and the oil companies are raking in record profits.

And have no surplus of product. They're asking for tankers from the EU.

Well, we do have the strategic oil reserves, which Dubya has agreed to open up. Clinton did the same thing several years ago, the price of gas came down a nickel, then shot right back up.
It's all artificial, as the oil companies haven't built any new refineries since the 70's. With the money they're making now, they have no incentive to do so, either.

Oil != Gas

You can have all the fucking oil in the world but if you don't have any working refineries you're fucked.
