The one thing that gets me is whenever a quake forum sprouts up there's always a flock of dutch people who end up posting at it. It's like quake forums become refuge sites for alienated dutch people who can't post anywhere else. Are the dutch still upset that England and Spain took over the Netherlands' control of maritime trade in the 16th century? It's seems clear to me this the influx of unwanted dutch posters is the cyber-hardship that Americans and Spaniards alike will have to deal with as the realities and horrors of Hurrican Katrina and its aftermath become evident to the world.

the italians talk italian, the french talk french, and the dutch talk english.

I've dabbled with 5 languages but can't speak more than a few phrases of each. I'd be up shit creek if English wasn't the dominant language on the interweb.
But it is real interesting that the Dutch tend to use English on the web more than others. And a lot of you use better English than most Americans

We discovered a lot of the world, founded New York city, beaten the Spanish after 80 years of war, are one of the smallest but also one of the wealthies countries here, Invented Dance, Hardcore, House Parties, XTC, only place where you go buy and smoke weed legally, etc.
So I'm proud to be Dutch and not upset in anyway. Besides, like the other guys said, were one of the few nations who have the goddamn courtesy to speak and write in other people's languages!
