Leveldesign.nl opens its doors!

Post by Infernis »

Hi,

For the past couple of weeks we've been working on providing the community with a new mapping forum. Our site will cover different games such as Quake 3, Prey, Quake 4, Doom 3, ET: Quake Wars. We hope we can provide you guys with a place to share knowledge which will eventually improve the overall quality of community based work.

We do not consider ourselves competitors and see no moral objection in pimping our site here. If you seem to to disagree then feel free to remove this post, but we were hoping, in the future, that we can cross link useful content and make the community even bigger, together.

Because most of the games aren't out yet, we've focused primarily on Quake 3, in which we offer advanced tutorials among other things. The Doom 3 section has to start yet but we're already working on developing some tutorials for that too.

Anyway, swing by over at: http://www.leveldesign.nl and have a look yourself. We sincerly hope you enjoy your stay and that we will see each other more often in the future!

Cheers,

Leveldesign.nl Team

Welcome dude, nice site. It's good for a change that a full tut like that isn't about a simple box map. ;) Someone will prolly move this for you to the level editing forum where you will get more opinion from the quake mappers that are situated here. :icon14:

Thanks guys.

Feel free to move it btw, I was not sure where to post it either!

Those tutorials cost poor old dONKEY an arm and a leg to make :icon25:

Does this forum have any .NET tutorials (C++ of course)?

No, sorry!

We focus on all aspects of Level Design. So we will support modeling, create tutorials for modeling. Texture creation and tutorials on how to do that as well. Plus off course Level Design itself.

We also give mod teams the oppertunity to be hosted by us. The first Mod team has already gotten it's own forum since today.

If we happen to attract a lot of coders then a section for them could be created as well.

I'll sent word to dONKEY, the author, that you like them. I'm sure he'll appreciate it!
