Our gas prices here went up by a quarter today - to around $2.86.
I know someone who runs a gas station here in town, and they have been told to expect the price to go up again tomorrow, to about $3.00.
Has the damage started hitting everyone else's pumps yet?

The government announced that we're going to tap our reserves (for what that's worth).
So with that news, maybe it won't be going up again tomorrow, but we'll see.

Where are you again? I haven't seen it that high anywhere here yet, but I'm sure it's a matter of time.

Yea, CNN's site said $4.00/gallon is almost a given at this point. The only question is how long it will stay there.

I think I paid $2.70 for mid-grade this morning here in Charlotte. News is saying that we may have shortages this weekend, and I'm sure the price has gone up since I filled up.

$2.68 here.. and I consider myself lucky after reading everyone elses prices.
BTW, my gf called me today and told me that her entire county is pretty much out of gas. Even the Wal-Mart gas station doesnt have any. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come.
Heres a short article on CNN about it:
http://money.cnn.com/2005/08/31/news/ga ... tm?cnn=yes
BTW, in the Netherlands they pay over 6 bucks a gallon.. jeebus. Venezuelans pay 12 cents/gal.

It's true though, gas prices are as high as ~$5.00/gallon in Atlanta.

why do the oil companies hate america?
a defining attribute of a government is that it has a monopoly on the legitimate exercise of violence...
