i think the primairy reason for threatening to sue is because of the movies they release for it. different rules apply to movies than for games, no? (see nintendo's handhelds). with movies they also have a responsibility to the studio's, not just to themselves

With Nintendo saying Revolution will be cheap, if Microsoft would feel threatened by Sony, MS might lower their price as well, which would make the PS3 by far the most expensive console on the market. Now that the XBox 360 is $400, a fourhundred dollar price on the PS3 is slightly more justifyable.
