EA and the NHL teamed up to visually explain some of the 2005-2006 rule changes.

You need Quicktime.

I love most of the changes, but not too sure about the imposed goalie restrictions. Poor Brodeur :(

that is cool :)

The new goalie rule isn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be, so guys like Brodeur can still be effective.

I like the new icing rule as well. Makes sense to me.

I don't like the goalie rule. The zones are gay. I prefer straight out disallowing the goalie from playing the puck behind the goal line.

All the other changes are pretty good though. :)

This season is going to fucking OWN. I'm so stoked.

Our team loaded up with some great players, we really have a good chance at being competitive. :icon14:

On top of that, the whole season is going to be a mystery; so many huge changes to so many teams, nobody knows who's going to gell, and who's going to be another New York.

Indeed a good day for fans.

Ya definitely. They always used to play like that then just changed the rule two years back for no reason at all.. so it's good to see they've come to their senses.

I'm also really glad to see teams still get a point for losing in OT or shootouts.
