Google wants to offer universal information access for free.

I applaud them, they have earned their success. I'm particularly interested in the book scanning project that will make a huge collection of books available online.

I think they're doing some good for humanity. Even in the shittiest of countries with internet access, individuals will have access to a huge number of books through this resource. That and all the other rumored/planned projects Google has in store.
