What was that software VPN solution posted a while back?

I think Toxicbug might have mentioned it. Essentially it was a simple free VPN program designed to allow simple LAN gaming across a WAN (The Internet Serious Business).

Anyone remember or have it linked?

Hamachi
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Hmmm, would this provide any benefit if I was to say run a little non-dedicated Q3 server for some 1v1?

Doubtful, since Q3s online networking is very similar to its LAN networking. You'd see higher ping times for sure.

The benefit I'm after is being able to load up a game of generals with the 'network' option instead of the shitty 'online' menu system, which is shittity shit shit shit.

Thats fine..

But ive been using it a while on all kinds of games.. its the same as direct IP for the most part.. just over lan..

LOL what the hell is this? Did anyone else look at the connections your machine makes after installing hamachi?
TCP [my.ip.add.ress]:1275 24.87.213.15:12975 ESTABLISHED
nslookup shows Name: S010600105aa5438e.vc.shawcable.net
looks like a typical man-in-the-middle weakness. But I'm pretty sure that the traffic is encrypted between your PC and the machine sniffing your traffic.
