Q2 Q: how to see your own weapon?

Anyone know?

I thought it was just to change the hand setting in the menu from center to left or right, but it doesn't show in any case.

Was hoping you would anser :) But it doesn't do a thing for me :/ I'm pretty sure I don't have any extra stuff installed.

Oh, and do you know how I can remove the accel in this game? No worries if not, just asking in case there is a quick fix for it.

Nah you cant.

Erm, its hand, and fov change it. i.e. FOV needs to be 90.

Most clients just don't show the weapon model if you use a fov higher than 90. R1Q2 and Q2 Evolved don't in my experience, although Holywater (based on Nocheat) and Quake2Max do.

Thanks, but I'm satisfied with the config I have, just a friend who asked about it, and I didn't understand why it wouldn't show as I don't want it visible when I play. He just wanted to see some Q2demos and have the weapon visible :)
