I don't Know much about Cat Thanks for your help

Post by Guest »

OK may be I am babyinshing`
I don’t know if this is a word understandable…
But you will understand what I mean,,,
We have a new friend that gave birth under our balcony.
Not Willy again the squirrel. Blackette a cat that is really intelligent…
Well, that is a part I meant to talk about..
I can’t believe I am talking about cat now…
Do you think that FB will laugh at me?
Any way, I think she is quite smart.
Never seen this before…She take pieces of fish with her pawl out of the bowl as us with our fingers…
Any way…May be she is Arab.
Just want to know though…Unless she is giving milk to her catties…
Should we give her water or just milk?
What a subject in here…
But thanks any way

Adult cats don't need milk, water is fine. Kittens you could give milk, but they already get it form the mother so water is fine also.

Don't give them fish, it's not good for them. Get some cat food instead, or kitten food.

Hello my new friend and thanks for the advices.
I thought that the mother needed some milk to feed her kitties...
I gave her water the first time and she hasn't touch it so I gave her milk. Why is not fish good for them though Do you know?

not sure how sound this advice is though... i mean the facts may be ok, but completely abstaining from tuna fish may not be necessary. I think balance is important. Then again, I might be dead wrong. Best to have you and your kitten research the issue together.

As for the allergy issue, dunno much about that.

Our cat had some problem when it was a kitten in that it couldn't eat cat food- we had to feed it fish (white fish, Pollock, Coley etc) and it was fine with it. It now eats cat-food and also fish at night .

Milk.

And don't let it smoke whatever you're on.

Give it your milk. You can milk anything with nipples, or so I heard

I'm pretty sure canned fish made especially for cats is fine. However I have always been told not to feed cats with raw fish.

Here I found some stuff on it.

"Care givers have to accept that no favour is done for the cat by feeding fish as a main staple.

Fish, no matter if whole, dressed, raw, cooked, or canned will cause nutritional deficiency of some kind, which in turn will eventually lead to serious disease.
If fish is to be included in the meal plan of the domestic cat, one may only do so sparingly as treats, or to entice a sick cat to eat. Other than that, the story of fish and cats shall remain a fairytale."

GE my friend.
Thanks for the link.
She seems pretty fine so far, I think she has adopt us, or may be the opposite ways?
Thing is, here it is cold during the winter and my gf don't want to see her in the house, may be the basement. For now she lives under our balcony and spend her days sleeping on my chair.
Can I build her a trap as for dogs to go in my basement?
Man I can't believe I am asking questions about a cat but...
Thanks

Round up the cats and take them to the pound.

Unless you expect to take care of the cat and the 8 babies for the rest of their lives do it now, because cats make more cats and those cats make more cats unless properly spayed and neutered.
