Need a proggie to repair partial .avi files

Post by Transient »

I've got a bunch of .avi files that are 98% or 99% downloaded from a .torrent, but there are no seeds left. Is there a program out there that will fill in the blank spots and give me a watchable video?

You need your porno that bad huh? And I don't think there is a program that will fin in the gaps per se. However, there exist incomplete AVI viewing programs. There's a ton on google.

I think VirtualDub will play partial avi's or there's a proggie called divfix that might work.

You can watch them if it's just avi files. But it will of course be black where the data is missing.

If Real can do it, Media Player Classic should. But last time I tried that, I got an error. Then I realized it was because the .torrent was running at the time. I just closed the .torrent and I can play them all. :)

Cheers guys. :D

In the future maybe try VideoLan I've been told it does play un-finished downloaded video among corrupted videos and such. I seriously haven't used it but have heard from a few friends that had problems with downloaded videos and VLC did work for them.

Just a thought. Good you can view them now though. hehehe. :D

I've got VLC. I use it for anything Media Player Classic can't play. Usually just for subtitled movies. VLC is the best ever. :)

Usually, yes, but some of the videos I've played had problems with subs unless I used VLC. Dunno why.
