Wild Blueberries

Post by shadd_ »

anyone else love wild blueberries? fucking yum. blueberry pie, blueberries+milk, blueberry cobbler. you just can't compare wild to farmed, the taste difference is night and day.

i HIGHLY recommend them for constipation or to just keep things regular. you gotta watch you don't eat too many or you'll turn into a blue liquid shitting machine.
Recent USDA studies show that Wild Blueberries are a tasty way to eat right and stay healthy. Scientists at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging ranked blueberries #1 in antioxidant activity compared with 40 other commercially available fruits and vegetables.

Found some on my latest trip to the BWCAW. They're the best when you can pick them right off the bush and eat them. I'm going again in two weeks, but the season is probably over for blueberries by now. :tear:

there might be a few straglers left by then but generally they are done.

they were really nice this year, just like little bunches of grapes on the vine.

i've went through a few 4 litre ice cream buckets full already.

Yes. My wife makes peach huckleberry pie when we have them. Stuff is very good.
