My resolution to a stress-free workday is simply not to care. I stopped being innovative and stopped going above and beyond my duties because it was totally unappreciated. My boss appears to want to control everything on every level so since he doesn't want to pay me for my knowledge, experience, and expertise I give him exactly what he wants. A mindless monkey that just does what he's told. It's quite a waste of the talent he has at hand but fuck it, it's what he wants. :lol:

I used to do all kind sof extra shit, now I do like 1 hour of total work per week. The rest of the time I sit here starring at my screen. Sound familiar? My life is "Office Space".

God, so familiar... I can't get even get started on my boss, I'll be here typing for 25 minutes.

But after reading your rant, I was beginning to wonder if he has been commuting to Florida every day after hours or something. :lol:

in my job i manage a team of senior developers+ also work as an extra development resource, take a technical lead, manage a systems analyst, have singlehandedly driven the introduction of an agile end to end process (this is on a multimillion pound enterprise project etc) .. have been told by a colleagues that i'm respected etc ... yet my immediate boss without fail treats me like an idiot - and as far as i am aware his only contribution ever is sending bullshit emails that demonstrate he's about as far from being a software professional as i am from being an astronaut

My boss is alright. I hear you on the micro-management thing and how that really undermines your work. I feel that quite strongly. Aside from that she's a reasonable manager and actually gives a shit about what's being produces and the staff.

Even though I work at walmart, I have boss's. Yea, that's right, multiple fucking boss's. A couple of them are ok, but there's this one bitch that's there like every night, I swear she must be Hitler's daughter. She's never in a good mood, unless she's yelling at you; she assumes no one knows what they're doing and puts people where she thinks they'll be most productive (which is usually completely out of whack). I'm pretty sure every employee, including a few managers hate this manager. I was told by a friend one time, that this manager said to her once, "I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to do my job. People don't like me because I make them do their work", what kind of bullshit is that? IF we weren't doing our work, she'd be up to her ears in shit. Fucking slut probably doesn't get any from the hubby.
