lol, you all said that about the water shots (yeah, they look wet because they just got out the boat" etc. Now what are ya gonan say :p

BTW that shot 211, is it me or does it look like a photochop job.. Check the outline of the right guy, it seems wrong (His helmet and foot show it most)

Anyone else impressed by that smoke shot? Thats a shit load of smoke, and it looks halfway decent. =o

Yeah, not sure as yet how they do it but the smoke is awesome, almost no clipping at all... Its like some kind of weird smoke-only-depth-based-bloom-hack... Its nice whatever it is.

I hate to say it, but this is really making me think that the Doom 3 engine just flat out sucks. Carmack had better do it right next time around >:E

It's based on the q3 engine actually.
I've read that its been ditched, and they made their own engine. I think they said that they started with the Q3 engine but they was re-writing so much that they just moved onto their own engine...

I may be wrong however, it could still be a highly modified Q3 engine as an old base.

God knows an engine "flat out sucks" just because the specular highlights are a bit strong. It's not like you can't change one variable to lower that. :icon27:
