According to Capcom the PS2 version isn't that different from the Cube version at all.

What kind of extras does it include?

I think it includeds loads of making of features, loads of never before seen concept, cutscenes, pictures, all sorts.

Plus Capcom are just playing the hype machine, they want money. The ps2 version is VERY different. There are less people on screen at once than the cube, texture resolution is compressed and reduced, the polycount is about half of the gamecube version, and there isn't as many different people types now (i.e. you will see the same village person in a group of 5 about 2 or 3 times). The loading times are also a lot longer.

So yeah, its great they could do it in the first place on PS2, but really, don't even ever think its the same detail as the cube ;)

Yeah, erm... Which ONE... there are loads of them? I'm guessing the first one?

Its quite easy. Use the Striker and pump that into him from close range, then leg it when he gets near to grabbing you and do the same again. Once hes down, you have to run up to him and press action and you will get a little cutscene of leon jumping on his back, then press A or B fast so he swipes at him with his knife, and he will jump off. Do it about 3 times and hes down. Down :D

Fuckers...now I'm gonna have to dust off my Gamecube. Resident Evil 4 here I go...and then Metroid Prime...and then maybe Eternal Darkness. It's been a while.

Wow yes it's quite obvious indeed.
The texture resolution is awful.

El Gigante :)

At that point in the game you don't have the Striker yet. It only becomes available later on. He shouldn't sell the shotgun until he can buy a better shotgun-type weapon for it. The riot-gun will become available first and then later on the Striker will become available.

You won't be disappointed with RE4.
And Eternal Darkness... if you haven't played it yet, do it. It's really one of the best games ever made. The story is thrilling, it's frikkin' scary at moments and the insanity effects are great. Really makes you believe it's real at times.

Metroid Prime's good too, but Metroid Prime 2 is a bit of a disappointment IMO. At first you'll be amazed by the graphics and the awesome design of the world, but it's just not all that anymore. By the time you have to start collecting keys and everything the search becomes annoying.

Progressing in the game isn't as rewarding anymore as it was in the first game.

Ahh, I was thinking of second play where I had it from the start, lolz.

While the Striker was more powerful, I preferred the Riot Gun because it was almost as good as the Doom shotgun, and that's saying something.
Chicago Typewriter's nifty though :D

Oh yeah, and I'm bloody glad that those giant chainsaw weirdos from the mini-game aren't in the main game.
They make me squirm and scream like a little girl...

Nah, if you survive long enough on the docks section minigame, these 8 foot tall versions of the paper bag guys on steriods with twinbladed chainsaws start appearing.
They tend to get the adrenaline pumping somewhat.

EDIT: Yeah, the one MKJ's on about.
They just swing it around like it's an angry helium-filled cat.

I've been slowly playing through the remake of the first game on my cube. I'm seeing a LOT of shit I don't remember...did they remake a lot of the gameplay too or am I just not remembering well enough?
