Kevin Smith Will Brings Us “The Passion Of The Clerks"!
Indie film favorite Kevin Smith wants to return to the characters that introduced the young filmmaker to millions of movie watchers. Over 10 years ago “Clerks” came out of nowhere and became a hit with audiences and critics, creating a fan base that is still going strong today. Coinciding announcement with the release of the “Clerks” 10 Anniversary DVD, the film will be called “The Passion of the Clerks” and will see the return of convenience and video store clerks Dante and Randall. Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson will reprise their roles as lazy talkative 20-somethings now in their 30’s. Writer/Director Kevin Smith will also appear as the fan favorite Silent Bob along with Jason Mewes as stoner Jay to complete the dynamic duo from the original “Clerks” and his other previous films. Filming is set to begin in January of next year with a budget between a quarter of a million dollars and $5 million. We’ll keep you posted on their progress.

Slightly old, but interesting nonetheless. I'm worried that Smith's film-making convictions might be going down the tube, since he has previously stated that he was not going to make any new movies with Jay and Silent Bob.
maybe its an idea so good he cant turn it down or put it on a shelf somewhere...
