Color correction.

Post by netrex »

I just went through the color adjustment thingy in the GeForce drivers . It's amazing how good everything looks now. I'm using a Sony Multiscan G420 which is a Trinitron tube. The white really looks white now and black is pitch black and everything in between is just as it should be it seems. If you have a good monitor, try this, it's awsome =)

Are you sure your brightness settings weren't just fucked on your monitor?

LOL $189 to fix some gamma settings? Thanks but no thanks.

What I'm trying to say is: Are you sure your monitor settings weren't changed? I've never used a video card's color correction to calibrate a monitor. I am suggesting that you could leave those as default, and simply fix through the monitor.

This does not apply, if the monitor is going out.

The adjust thingy tells you how to adjust your monitor also, not only the settings on your card.

you should grab a dvd that's got the THX setup in the menu. it's not perfect, but it gets the job done just fine.
