I have it on my pda which I use in the car and it's pretty accurate, even in "big" cities like Amsterdam (the centre of the city is a complete bitch with all the small streets). Makes finding the way easy for a orientation-handicapped person like myself.
I'd recommend it, but I don't know which navigation systems you have used up till now?

Are the camera cops that bad that you all have software for mapping locations and limits in your whips so you don't get ticketed?

We have over 7000 static cameras here (as in, not human operated). If you get caught speeiding you get between 1-3 points and a £60 fine (or something around that), obviously the more speed the higher the points, and if it's a stupid speed you'll get more for dangerous driving.

But generally- you get 6 points (in the first 2 years of having your license) and after that it's increased to 12. If you manage to get all 6, or 12, points then you have your license revolked and have to re-take everything, or you'll get banned for a few months.

So 4 speeding offences will get you banned. And it takes 5 years (or maybe that's 3) to clear your points back to 0.

I don't speed, but I still like to know where the cameras are, especially as they call them 'Safety Cameras' over here, to 'warn you of accident blackspots'

we have red light cams here.

we need them because in this city, the roadway lay-out is not optimised, as a result there are twice the lights.

the frustration this leads to causes many late-light accidents.
it is about time!
