not really.
When I was in the UK in July, I literally hopped all over the country in a matter of 5 days. I hardly had time to catch my breath tbh. This time I'll be at one locale (MK) for my stay.
I was pleasantly impressed with what little I saw of English country life. Seemed alot more layed back than I had anticipated.
Traditional was the word I was looking for.
It's not the beer itself, it's the temperature of the beer. It kind of has the texture of saliva when it's warm. Otherwise the beers are really good, if you can score a cold one.
Perhaps make it a gameshow on some remote island surrounded by crazed mutant sharks... then ship in a wild collection of scumbags from various exotic places like Haiti, Texas and Poland... and vote off the least succeful hunter.
It takes some time to get used to. A while back I visited an English friend who introduced me to near-room temperature ale. After a while, it starts to taste less like cat piss and more like beer. I think it'll even be tasty, eventually.
Where were you when the West was defeated?
