[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Here's what I don't get about the video of the interviews when Karl Urban is talking - he mentions that he played the game a lot with Vin Diesel during filming for Riddick, talked about how the script was true to the game, mentions UAC, etc....first, I don't see why they would be playing the original Doom, or even Doom 2, during Riddick filming (wouldn't that have been a pretty old game at the time)?

It sounded to me like he was full of shit about thinking that the script was 'true to the game' because i doubt he really has a fucking clue what the game is really all about. But I could be wrong...

I can't decide whether that was "alright" or whether it fucking sucked.

the following is completely unbased on fact, but what would be wrong about them playing Doom3 (or, hell, even doom1 or 2 if they had heard that there was going to be a film of it) during filming for Riddick? not really as a research thing, more just a kicking-back thing?

It'll definately be yet another video-game based movie, so I'm not expecting much, however it will be interesting to see what they try to do.

How does "Discovering the final ten percent of the human genome" cause people to turn into Hell Knights? :icon19:

I dont know, but maybe the idea is they were able to turn on some "long-lost" genetics that were evolutionarily eliminated from the genome which developed monsters out of humans. It will be interesting to see how they describe the science, as for such monster-mutants to occur one would have to rear them from a single fetus so all cells contain the genetic material for the "mutant monster". Otherwise they'd have to alter the DNA of each and every cell in the human body. Bah! Science aside, the whole "final 10%" thing is possible, but it would be an idea that they could easy fuck up.

Doom3 wasn't out yet when they were filming Riddick.

Riddick came out, meaning filming wrapped months earlier then June 2004.

Doom3 came out early August 2004.

They must of been playing the Doom3 'leak' then.. time frames don't match up otherwise..

thanks :), I wasn't sure of either of the timeframes.

It might be possible that they were playing doom1 or 2, since rumours about a doom movie were circulating for ages before being 'officially' announced, and they wanted to see what it was like? Them playing the leak is equally as possible.

And why would they lie about something like that, anyway? I mean, high-profilers in hollywood lying about something? It's inconcievable.

that actually fucking rocked. It also looks like the budget is pretty thick for a movie like this.
