Got a audio book in .mov format, want to convert it to a iPod compatible format. Any suggestions?

you can do it with quicktime pro, if that helps

QuickTime Pro
Or any WAV recording utility, although that only happends in real time and requires some small amount of audio recording knowledge.

QT Pro, export audio as WAV and encode it to whatever you want.

Well i tried that, but its cutting off the begining of it.
