I bet he likes to dress up like Judy Garland and get spanked by a dominatrix in his spare time.

Thompson's new conclusion: EA is "cooperating, gleefully, with the mod community to turn Sims 2 into a porn offering."

And people take this guy SERIOUS?

It's not just the adults that are liberated from their wardrobes. Sims kids can also be nudified, "much to the delight, one can be sure, of pedophiles around the globe who can rehearse, in virtual reality, for their abuse." "
Only a sick mind come come up with that one.

I'd be looking more into why He projects all of his demented sexual feelings onto things like video games.
He needs a good pyschiatrist.

I remember that. Isn't that an official EA shot of the game?

This is actually a good thing, I think. After this 'GTA Ruling' and all the focus on it, the proponent has turned attention on a game which non-gamers play. The Sims is played much more by older generations and girls than GTA is.

Why's this good? There will be a whole wider spectrum of people finding their pasttimes under attack, and will be better informed because of it.

I disagree -- unless your favourite hobby is directly under attack, most people will simply read an article and shrug it off. Hell, I'm playing GTA:SA now and think it's a great game, and am seriously wondering what the hell is wrong with society if shit like this is allowed to occur, but I really haven't taken any extra steps to research the issue.

There's not really much we can do about it, anyway. The system is set up so that if anyone has a beef with anyone else, they can duke it out in a "fair" court trial, but even if this guy is shown to be the idiot that he really is, the wounds to R* and Maxis (to a lesser extent) will mean later games will have to be changed for the worse. The collateral damage from this is also that we'll have more "no-blood" games, and creative pieces such as Manhunt, XIII and RPG games such as The Sim spinoffs and Fable will be more restricted (and really, it'll start defying the objective of RPG in the first place).

I can see nothing good about this at all, this whole issue lacks a silver lining.

uh ho, just wait next he'll be after tetris. moders have corrupted this game by changing the back images to porographic images. Oh the horror. the humanity. Better yet, he can go after tattoo houses, car companies and crayola. Don't forget photo shop.
